About the Project
The project “Think Global, Act Local!” is a large-scale pilot project that will bring together young people, youth workers, youth policy experts, political representatives and other stakeholders to reflect about global challenges and the role that young people play in facing them.
This project aims to raise awareness of young people and general public about global challenges, particularly those linked with the Millenium Development Goals, like sustainable development, environmental problems, intercultural dialogue, gender equality and the role of women, poverty and social exclusion or fair trade.
The project will give a chance to 60 young people to become young “global ambassadors”. The project will provide them with a complex self-development programme that will enable them to become active leaders and multipliers in their own local communities. Around 2400 other young people, youth workers, political representatives and other stakeholders are expected to be reached through various activities of the project.
